Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor for WCBD TV and was the crime reporter. O'Dell's reports in Charleston about the police's leniency when it comes to DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. This led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous rules in these instances. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year Award to every aspect of South Carolina media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell served as co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. Additionally, she is an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's covered the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show to The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She also hosted Miss USA's pageant, as in addition to the Miss Universe Pageant.
